We’re Back & a Wedding!

Hi friends :).    If you are regular followers of Cooks with Cocktails, you will already know that we have been absent from the blog for what feels like forever!  This summer has been a busy one for both Debbie and I.

Kevin and I moved into our new house in April, Debbie and Mark bought a new house and did some renos in June/July, work has been crazy busy, but the biggest news of the summer (and the thing that kept me the busiest) was my WEDDING!!!

After 6 years together, Kevin and I finally tied the knot on August 26th at a local vineyard venue, Single Tree Winery, with all our favorite people in attendance.  It was a truly magical day and the decor, ceremony, and reception was even better than I imagined as I was planning my little heart out.

Debbie and I are itching to get posting and sharing with you again and we have a number of things in the queue already.  But first, here are a few teaser pictures of my Wedding.  More are coming soon, but I have these ones for now.

Photo credits for most of these shots go to our fantastic ninja photographer Jonathan Desmond.  If any of you are in the Fraser Valley and you are looking for a photographer, I highly recommend Jonathan!

Just doing up the dress and getting ready to hop into the limo to go meet the guys!  We did photos before the ceremony which took the edge off the nerves quite a bit I think 🙂

Saying bye to my girl.  She was on guard at the house while we were gone!

Jonathan also took some Polaroids which was really cool.  These are pictures of pictures so they arent the greatest, but you get the picture!

The wedding party!

My family:  Kevin, Me, Jessica, Dallen, and my mom Joan.

Some shots of just Kevin and I.  (cant wait for the clear version of this one!)

The magical ceremony!

Didn’t feel like paying to rent a table when we could just use the back of the best man to sign…

A few more Polaroids after the ceremony:

And the last shot of the night.  I love all the lights and that I can see almost everyone in this shot!  If you look close, you can even see the stars 🙂

And that’s it!  I can’t wait for all the rest of the shots that Jonathan took that day!  Couple more weeks and I should have them.

In the meantime, Debbie and I have a wicked good short rib sandwich that’s coming at you quick!  Until then…

Cheers!
