Our Favorite New Year’s Eve Party Cocktails
The new year is almost here!  Another year has passed and it just flew right by!  Or seems to have now that we are here.  I love the prospect of a new year ripe with possibility.  It’s a great time to set goals for the upcoming year as it feels kind of like anything could happen.  You CAN make anything happen, you just have to put your mind to it and take action.
This concept applies to a kick ass New Years Eve Party too. Â If you put your mind to it and plan for an amazing night, its sure to happen. Â To help you in this endeavor, Debbie and I have put together a list of some of our favorite cocktails that are perfect for a New Years Eve Party. Â Some hot, some cold, some fruity and some sparkly. Â You are sure to see one that catches your eye on this list. Â Here we go:
Raspberry Cream Mimosa
What better way to ring in 2016 than with a little bubbly. Â And not just any bubbly, this mimosa is special. Â In fact, this was the cocktail Debbie and I had on Christmas Eve this year and on Christmas morning. Â Delicious!
Espresso Vodka Martini
This is one of our all time favorites. Â Its also a fantastic pick me up in case you need a little help getting to midnight.
Homemade Eggnog with Rum and Kahlua
Christmas may be over, but its still the holidays so  you have one last chance to try out this beaut.  Trust me, you wont be dissapointed and your guests will be uber impressed.  Its like no other rum and eggnog you have had.  Fluffy, creamy and light with a nice kick.  Its my Grandpa Pete’s recipe.  Tried and true.
Dirty Vegas Strawberry Martini
A copycat recipe from our favorite Cacus Club cocktail list. Â Slightly sweet, a bit tart, gorgeous to look at and totally scrumptious. Â Try just having one…
Hot Buttered Rum
The original. Â Doing anything outdoors for New Years Eve? Â Then you must have some of this in a thermos. Â It will warm you from the inside out in the best way possible. Â This is a special cold weather cocktail as its my late friend Ernie Dobson’s recipe.
Hot Buttered Rum with Apple Cider
An amazing variation of the original made with homemade apple cider (optional) that will not only delight your taste buds, but it will tantalize your guests from the moment they walk in your door. Â Honestly, the fragrance of this cocktail is OUT OF THIS WORLD!
Pineapple Cinnamon Sangria
A surprising but totally awesome flavor combination that is like summer and Christmas all rolled into one. Â This sangria gets even better if you let it sit for a few hours before you drink it. Â If you can wait that long…
Apple Cider Martini
Again, you don’t have to use our homemade Apple Cider for this, but its easy and it will fill your home with the most amazing scent. Â And it tastes good too…
Grapefruit and Vodka Shaken with Egg Whites and Muddled Mint
Oh yeeeaaaahhh… Â Love love love this one. Â Its fruity, refreshing and dangerous cuz its easy to have too many. Â We wanted to throw in a couple fruity cocktails too, in case that’s what you’re in the mood for. Â I know I am. Â Right now! Isn’t this one so pretty?
Blackberry and Rosemary Margarita
Arguably our favorite margarita on the blog to date. Â The blackberry flavor shines bright with a hint of earthy rosemary and made silky smooth with the egg whites. Â If you have never tried your cocktail shaken with egg whites, you really must. Â It takes and ordinary cocktail and turns it into something special. Â Perfect for New Years Eve!
And there you have it. Â If none of these cocktails catches your eye (shocking), you can find the rest of our concoctions on our cocktails recipes page.
